PlebChow™ Tasty Treats
We cook often but only in our home. We am not as efficient or "perfect" as the professional chefs, but are not as tense about the way something is, cut, measurements we make must be precise. Research finds that people who eat home-cooked meals tend to be happier and healthier and consume less sugar and processed foods, which result in higher energy levels and better mental health. Eating home-cooked meals five or more days a week is even associated with a longer life. 10 Tips to Teach Yourself to Cook at Home: 1. Commit yourself to doing it regularly, 2. Minimize your tools, 3. Minimize your pots and pans, 4. Get out and measure all of your ingredients before you even start , 5. Get a cook book that teaches technique, or follow this Blog, 6. Don’t tackle complicated stuff right off the bat, 7. Try to learn something each time you make something, 8. Make comfort foods at first, food you happy with and will taste nice, 9. Focus on fresh ingredients, 10. Keep your kitchen clean. You can save around R200.00 per meal by cooking at home. That means if you cook just one meal at home a week that you would normally buy from a restaurant, you could save R 14K a year.
